Durnkin Donuts.

To start things off, here's a playlist. But not just any playlist. It's what we listened to all weekend. It was on Melski's pod, and I fell in love. <3 It's basically the playlist of both of our love lives. We just need to stick to being each other's bfs, because it seems that the real men who are supposed to hold our hands are too lame to do so. Listen to the whole thing. You'll fall in love. I guarantee it.

Day dos. Surnday.

We had plans of awaking early and making our way into the city. We didn't wake up early, but we did venture to the main land. Once we finally got going we hopped on into the minski and traveled to the Bronx. Yep. When she told me that that was where we were going to get onto the subway at I almost peed my pants.

After having my pants scared off by a drunk man who didn't have enough money to get on the subway, I felt my subway adventure had officially started.

Our first stop was China Town where we did some shopping and gandering and fake bartering. I don't really what happened between China Town and Trinity church because I hadn't been taking pictures. When we got out of the subway Melissa scolded me for not having taken any pictures, so I whipped out the cam. She wanted to take a picture of me to show I was in NY. What did we result to? A hotdog stand.

Anywho. After Trinity Church we hit up a subway (the restaurant) by Battery Park where I conveniently asked for "ticken cheriyake." Yeah. Imma fool. We hung out in Battery Park for a wee bit. Went and gandered at the Statue of Liberty for some time. Bartered with a sketchy sunglass seller. Hit up Time Square {twice}. Grand Central. Empire State Building. Roxy's. Max Brenner's. It was a solid day. That's all I'm gonna say. I'll let my pics do the talking. kbye.

One last thing. Since it was Memorial Day Weekend there were sailors walking around in their white all over time square. It was cool.

 ^We walked for twelve years to get to this Jamba Juice, only to discover it was closed. We cried.

It's official.

Mark your calendars.

Thanks, Mel.

When life becomes a bit too much for me to handle, I run. Not the strap on my running shoes and hit the gym type of run. More like.. book a flight and escape from St. George and everything that I feel is crashing down on me type of run. The first time it happened was here. Not that I'm complaining. Vacations are much needed. And now that I'm beginning to realize the convenience of having flight benefits from the mama, this might turn into a new habit. I think I'll be alright with it.

About two weeks ago I had a Skype date with Mel. Before she could even get out a "hello" I believe I started crying and asked if I could come visit. Of course she obliged, confessing that she had missed my humor and good looks. I booked my flights a day or two later. Best decision I've made in a long time.

I suppose I shall share what we did over the all too fast weekend. I'll probably break it up into two or tres posts, because this one is much too long already.

I took a red eye Friday night and arrived early Saturday morning, where I was greeted by her chunchine face. {Can you believe I flew to New York all by myself? This is the girl who stressed flying out of the STG airport to SLC.. yeah. I know. I surprised myself.} She came giving hugs, baby muffins, and yogurt. Isn't she the greatest? Anyway. We traveled to her home, ate some toast and eggs, and then I went to sleep. I woke up a few hours later and she was swimming with Phoebe and her little friend Danielle. They were having a play date. So I shimmied into my bikinki and joined them.

Later that night we ate dinner with her family {...nanny family. Just so you don't get all confused}. And then the two of us went to cheese cake factory and got some lovely dessert. Then we went to this gigantor movie theater and watched a movie about some guys who got lost in Bangkok with a drug dealing monkey and a crazy asian. {10 points for you if you know which one it is.} We laughed our buns off. Then we went home and slept slash cuddled slash scratched each other's backs. If you know us, then you know we're always scratching each other's backs. It had been missed.
Anywho. That's all I'm gonna say for now. Because this is super long and I doubt anybody read this far. Isn't it depressing I only took like.. 5 pictures the first day? Yeah. I know.

...to be continued...

I'm starting to feel that we stay together out of fear of dying alone.

Was that title long enough for you? Knew it. hah! This isn't a complaining post. That's just what's playing at the moment, and I had nothing better to title this.

It's 12:09. May fifth. Cinco de Mayo. First day o' summa. Yeah beans. I can't sleep. I took some benadryl at work earlier today, and when I got home I crashed for a good 3.5 hours. So now I'm feeling tired, but not tired enough to sleep. ..that made zero sense.

Anywho. This week is an exciting one. I'm planning on going to the lib/perk with Mar Bear. I think I'll lay out. I need me some tannn skin. Did I mention it's summer? Took my last final today, and it was laaame. And while the last few people were giving their presentations, I watched my professor eat his scabs. So glad to be done with that class.

I'm also having lunch with somebody who I haven't conversed with for a looongg time. Slightly anxious for that. And then another somebody comes home Friday. Definitely anxious for that one. BAH!

And now I'm having Melissa with drawls. CAP COME HOME!!!!

Click here. Do it. Now.

Now imma go drink some chocolate milk. And take some more benadryl and go to sleep.

welcome to terrgit.

I promise you that Maddi and I aren't completely childish.

Today after bread making we ventured over to Target to have ourselves some fun. Remember that lil' bombshell from VS I told you about? You can check it out here. Anywho. Maddi had seen a wannabe one at Target, so we just had to go compare.

Speaking from experience, if I were to buy one of those ridiculously padded bras, I'd definitely have to go with the one from Vickie's. The one from Target just doesn't do justice. Although, Melski, the one at Target was purple leopard print. We thought it would make a nice friend for Zeebs.

After the bras, we headed on over to the shoes where Mad broke the clearance sign. Then I told her that I was sick of hiding my secret: I was pregnant and we needed to go check out the car seats. That's when she told me her secret: "I thought you were getting fat." hahah. We scoured through all the baby stuff, and even tried out the breast pumps.

Then we went to the toys and played with every toy possible, especially the ones that made obnoxious noises. We found some JBiebs dolls and loved them immensely. We played the Wii, and checked out some face washes. We even ran into a fart that seemed more like a brick wall than a smell in the air.

Twas a swell day.

Also, 4 more days until this boy is home!!

I can't wait!!

Peace&blessings.

I gots my captain back.

Melissa is home.

I drove to Vegas last night with parents to retrieve her from the airport. She was so happy and smiley and tan. I hugged her, and it was quite lovely. We drove home, and talked for a bit. Well. She talked. I listened to all of her adventures. And then I layed down next to her, and the next thing I knew we were at my house. ha! Totally slept pretty much the entire way.

Anyway! Me sleeping wasn't the point of this. She is home! And I love her! I didn't take my camera with, so I don't have any pictures to go along with this, but soon enough I will have some to post. So, until that happens, I hope you're having a splendid holiday vacation. (: bye.

Bawlbag.

^That's what I am according to Melissa.
I'm pretty sure I agree.

She came over to my house tonight, and we watched The Notebook. I had never seen it before.. I didn't even know that we owned it. ha! So, being the good friend that she is, she insisted that I needed to see it. It was really cute. And of course, by the end I was a wee bit teary eyed. So we walked back downstairs, and that was when we both realized it was the last time we'd be seeing each other for a while. Well, granted she'll be back in a few weeks and I'll be going to visit her I'm sure.

And then I shed a few more tears. Surprisingly I was more emotional when she moved to Provo for a month. And now she's moving to New York. I have zero idea of what I'm going to do without her. I miss her like crazy already, but it will all be ok. I love my Melski. (:

Baby corn?

When I eat ice cream I cough.

Wow.
Let me tell you. This past weekend was one of the busiest, most hectic weekends I've had in a long time, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I love my friends incredibly so. This weekend was long due, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. (: I'll break down the events that went down.
Wednesday:{ok.. It's not technically the weekend}
I was able to have some awkward bonding time with Brad before he left on his mission. At least I think it was wednesday.. I don't know. They're all blurring together. Anyway! After we went to Krave we went scootering in his church parking lot. The hall monitor got us. I'm 90% positive that he thought we had a posse hiding out in the rocks. He was slightly scary.
Thursday:{I know.. It's still not the weekend}
It was just a typical day. School. Work. The usual. Anyway! While I was at work, Captain texted me and told me she was hungry. I agreed. It was then decided that we were going to go to PF to get some breadsticks and pasta. When we finally got there they were closing, so they were unable to make us any food. But they did have 2 breadsticks! So we got those and returned to the car. We decided to go to Olive Garden because we were still starving. Oh gosh. hahaha. We're just too funny. Here's your visual: we both have our hair on top of our heads, wearing our matching council jackets and tennis sweats. We were blue head to toe. It was great. So we went to Olive Garden and ate straight from the salad bowl and shared a bowl of soup. We got some lovely looks from the couples passing by. Then we went and watched MegaMind. Hilarious. Go watch it. Solid date night.
Friday:
School {shool}. Work. Date night number 2. Pretty much all hopes and plans of eating healthy were completely murdered this weekend. When I got off of work I went to Wingers with Maddi and Melissa. Twas solid. We got literally the biggest booth in the entire restaurant. Maddi was downing her wings, and our waiter just said "it's always the skinny ones that surprise you." haha! Good stuff. After that Maddi and Melissa went to Mary's, and I had to go home to do a few things. When I finally made it to her house, they weren't there. We had been playing phone tag. It was ridiculous. Anyway. I discovered they were looking for the spotlights that were in the sky. I ruined their fun and told them they were in the Christensen's parking lot. Then they came and got me and Josh insisted on saying a prayer. Which didn't happen. ha! Then we went to Krave. That was enough sugar to allow it so I wont have to check my blood for about a year. Then we went to the dollar theater to watch Inception! Josh needs some whispering lessons. He also calls me the 'chosen one.' I thought it was a pretty solid name.
Saturday:
..was the busiest freaking day ever. I didn't work, but that didn't mean relaxation. ha! I didn't get to bed until about 2 Friday night. Woke up at 6:45 Saturday morning. I went and helped my mom at the Tuacahn Saturday Market for a few hours, where I saw this awesome cat named Twerp. He just sits on his shoulder. And he also has a yellow leash. So sweet.
Then I left to take pictures of my nephew's soccer team {go REal St. George!} Then I went and got Mary. We drove back out to Tuacahn to help my mom pick up. Then we met up with Brad and Michelle at 25 Main for lunch. We made our way back to Mary's house where I curled her hair, and then drove back to my house to take some pictures! {Did I mention I went through 1/2 a tank of gas in 3 days?}
She's so pretty.
After taking her pictures, we went to take pictures of a Sadies group! That was quite the .. experience. I'll get those up here later. (: After pictures, Scott and Mike came over to my house. Then Kyle got picked up for sadies.
And then we drove to Cafe Rio to eat with Anjuli, Josh, and Josh's friends. Ok. Seriously. I ate out more times this weekend than what I normally do in an entire month. Quite possibly two months combined. No joke. Anyway. After dinner we went back to Mary's house, which is where we met up with Melissa, Jake Ras, Zach Polatis, Brad, and Michelle.. ..is that everyone? I don't even know. We played scategories for a little while, and then decided to go to Cold Stone. {I'm telling you. Obesity is on the verge.} Oh, baby. The drive to Cold Stone was one of the most exciting I've ever had.  7 of us in a 5 person car. hahaha. There were 5 of us in the back seat. We had to establish a 'no touching' rule for Scott. Which he didn't follow. It was a lot of fun though.
They're kind of special...
We then made our way back to Mary's.. luckily we had no encounters with cops. When we got there, we discovered KC waiting for us! And then Berkley and Alex Wright came over and we played catch phrase for a while. hahah. That provided some nice entertainment.
Wolverines.
Sunday:
Was solid. All of these days were solid. But! It was Brad's farewell. Which was why everyone was down. After sacrament we all went back to his house and partook of marshmallow fluff. Pluff. And other delectables.

*sigh*
I miss all of them already. But! They'll be home soon enough for Thanksgiving (: And then again for Christmas. And guess what?! My days still aren't slowing down at all. Today I went and took Kenzie's pictures. And I'm taking the Truman's this next weekend. It's good, though. So. Here's a few from today.

Ok. I'm going to sleep.
Goodnight.

Thanks, Mel.

Life has thrown me many curve balls lately.

And the one that was thrown at last week hit me straight in the heart.

My stress levels are through the roof, and it's been taking all the strength I can gather to not completely lose my mind. Thankfully I am blessed with amazing friends who let me cry on their shoulder, and listen to me talk. All I really need is just somebody to listen. I don't necessarily need advice. Just an outlet for all the thoughts bouncing around in my head. Yesterday after Melissa's brother's wedding, I went back to the house that she's been baby sitting 3 little boys at for the past week. We were talking, and the conversation naturally ended in me venting, and her listening. {Thanks, dear.} After I left and had been home for a while, she texted me a scripture. Mosiah 12:5.

Yea, and I will cause that they shall have burdens lashed upon their backs; and they shall be driven before like a dumb ass.

I'm not sure how serious about this scripture she was, because when I first read it I laughed. But, needless to say, I was able to pull a bit of seriousness from it. I know that these stressful situations that I've been going through lately aren't permanent. I just needed a subtle reminder. I know that everything is going to be ok, and that no matter what the outcome of all of it is, it's what is meant to happen. I know I'm still going to lose control of my emotions. That's a given. I cry when it's least expected, and it happens a few times a week. But I'm working on not letting all of it control my life. Some of the things will, others won't. For now I'm just going to concentrate on being the happiest that I can be. I'm going to try to enjoy and make the most out of the next six months, and then just take it all a day at a time. I know that no matter what, everything will be the way it's supposed to.

So thanks, Mel. I love you (:

You da bestest.

Peacock

[pee-kok]-noun1.      the male of the peafowl distinguished by its long, greenish, iridescent tail coverts that are brilliantly marked with ocellated spots and that can be spread in a fan.2.     any peafow3.      Maddi, Melissa, and Alex.
Halloween is a peachy holiday. You get to dress up as whatever your heart desires. For us, that desire was a peacock. Pretty great, right? We started the night out with our hair and makeup.
{with some light painting in between}
{cheesy smile.}

My bangs have a life of their own at times..

And then we finally left!
hah!
"Peacocks always drive at 10 and 2."
"Officer.. It's incredibly hard to drive when your'e a peacock."
Her hair was touching the ceiling.

Anyway. After our exciting time of getting ready and our uneventful drive, we made it to Staheli Farm. That's where the dance was. It smelled like sweaty armpits, manure, and hay.. it was an interesting combination. And even though I had braced myself for the nasty people that would be doing their own thing on the dance floor, I was still shocked. Pretty much everyone is 100% disgusting. I do appreciate the few girls who dressed appropriately. I saw two girls dressed up as a pair of dice. I laughed. And a few wearing lab coats, and random stuff like that. I also appreciate the boys who wear clothes, not loin cloths. I swear almost every guy I saw was shirtless and wearing the shortest pair of shorts possible. And literally, loin cloths. *sigh* My hope for decent people hasn't improved since the last dance I went to. If anything, it's probably worsened. But. We still mobbed up the dance floor and did our own thing. And then we were thirsty, so we made our way to the back of the.. uh.. barn to find some water. But all we found was luke warm chocolate milk. Needless to say, it didn't quench our thirst. We then made our way back up to the front. Which was where some guy came up behind me.. and. ew. Yeah. I felt like crying. Maddi pushed him away, and thankfully he left. Gah! Seriously, people are super gross. But, it was a lot of fun. Melissa drugged me with excedrin before we left because I was dead tired from work. I worked 9:30 to 6:00. It was the booseum, and we had about 300 people come in. It was busy. It was a pretty solid Halloween, though. I had fun. We danced around in our peacock costumes and had a grand time. Melissa's dance moves are definitely the greatest. And Seth Hayne's rendition of the "single ladies" dance had me cracking up. haha! He's a funny kid. I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween. And wore clothing that covered more than what is required by law (:

love you all.
